Sewing

Today we started sewing our hand puppets. We are doing an outstanding job ! Next we will add the detail to make them spectacular .

Having so much fun kayaking, water safety ,team building and rockwall.

We are learning so many ways to make puppets . Our latest challenge is to practise sewing on card an outline of our hand . It was not that easy but oh so much fun!!  Soon we will start making our hand puppet.  

Footsteps dance

Kate from Footsteps came to school to teach the children some dance . The children really enjoyed this. 

Week 6

What a busy week. We have had a performance group from Ghana who shared some of their musical instruments with us. Some children were chosen to help.p

Hands Alive Puppeteer

We were entertained today by Hands Alive. It was amazing! There were so many different puppets

Stick puppets

We have been making stick puopets. The children have made a design and have checked that the colours match . This is so much fun.

We have been learning to balance by ourself , with a partner and to balance equipment.

We have started making puppets. Here are some we have been making using a plate , card board, cups, eyes and pipecleaners. So much fun.

Welcome back to a very exciting and busy term. Our topic will be Puppet Pals and we have already started by looking at the different sorts of puppets there are. We will be making finger, stick and felt puppets . So a very hands on technology based term.

Science Day

What a wonderful day we are having. The year 2 children are participating in 12 science experiments from exploding volcanoes to icing biscuits and making butter. We are watching chemical  reactions .
